Just in case you haven\u2019t finished your shopping yet, here are a few gift ideas for the musically-oriented in your life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For The Youngest Among Us:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-942\" title=\"Tubby The Tuba\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelashornstudio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/TubbyTheTuba-300x298.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelashornstudio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/TubbyTheTuba-300x298.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.angelashornstudio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/TubbyTheTuba-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.angelashornstudio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/TubbyTheTuba.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>I have very fond childhood memories of listening over and over and OVER again to a few beloved records. \u00a0They&#8217;re sold as CDs now, of course, but you know what I mean. \u00a0Some of my favorite classical music children\u2019s records are Tubby the Tuba, Peter and the Wolf, and Fantasia (this one is a DVD).\u00a0 You have multiple choices for each of them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"Kazoo Store\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kazoos.com\/store\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&amp;Store_Code=KK&amp;Product_Code=MFHK\" target=\"_blank\">A horn-shap<\/a><a title=\"Kazoo Store\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kazoos.com\/store\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&amp;Store_Code=KK&amp;Product_Code=MFHK\" target=\"_blank\">ed kazoo<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>these are so much fun. \u00a0Especially when you give it a name like Corzoo and write <a title=\"The Exciting European Adventures of the Young Corzoo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.angelashornstudio.com\/blog\/?p=515\" target=\"_blank\">silly stories<\/a> about it. \u00a0Great for kids to experiment using their voices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Those Just Starting the Horn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cleaning Set:\u00a0There are various cleaning kits out there, often geared towards the brand of horn used.\u00a0 The key elements of a cleaning set in my opinion are a snake, mouthpiece brush, valve oil, slide grease, cloth.\u00a0 You could even put your own together if you can\u2019t find one that has the exact elements you\u2019d like.\u00a0 If your cleaning kit doesn\u2019t come with a booklet, you could print <a title=\"Intructions for Cleaning Brass Instruments\" href=\"http:\/\/www.musicroomensembles.com\/images_misc\/BrassInstrCare.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">this page<\/a> out to include with your kit:<\/p>\n<p>A tuner or metronome, or combination of the two: \u00a0I think the Korg TM-40 is a fantastic tool to have. \u00a0It is a combination tuner\/metronome and is a decent price. \u00a0For someone more advanced who needs more volume and more features in a metronome, I like the Tama Rhythm Watch. \u00a0It&#8217;s not as pricey as a Dr. Beat, but has all the features I have ever needed. \u00a0Although, the Dr. Beat does have this fun option of a voice yelling the beats at you, which has provided more than a few laughs in chamber music rehearsals, I must admit. \u00a0&#8220;One! Two! One!
